You reap what you sow

It looks like Spain's rolling over to the terrorists didn't have the desired affect. A bomb was found on Spain's high-speed rail line. Fortunately, it was found before it was detonated, but I thought that if you "played nice" with terrorists, they would "play nice" with you. I guess only in your liberal, socialist dreams. The people of Spain must feel really safe now after getting rid of a leader who understood that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist. They should tell Zapatero to get off his knees and stop licking the boots of the terrorists since it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Terrorists are kind of like rapists in that regard: They get off on servile, frightened victims. Women who fight back scare them, which is why women who fight rapists escape more often than those who don't (or can't). Zapatero's prostration before Al-Qaeda is irresistible to those sadistic thugs. Posted by: Captain Holly at April 2, 2004 04:46 PM
Terrorists continue being themselves whether you play nice or whether you try to kill them -- therefore, trying to kill them is a fairly good idea. As long as your leaders are good with that, it does not matter what party they belong to. Posted by: Scorpio at April 2, 2004 06:12 PM
Maybe they should surrender harder. Perhaps Msr. de Villepin could provide some lessons. Posted by: Blackavar at April 2, 2004 09:41 PM
