Revenge of the Nerds?

One of the top tourist attractions in the state of Utah is not a natural wonder. It is the new Salt Lake City Library. It is ranked second behind Temple Square, but in front of Zion National Park. This says that either the state of Utah (and Salt Lake City) is rather boring (darn those pesky liquor laws) or that there is something more going on the library other than reading and checking out books.

In a related note, for all you readers out there who are planning your next trip to the Beehive State, here is a list of the top ten tourist destinations. I find it interesting that Hogle Zoo came in at number 11. The way that they are always whining and complaining for a hand-out from Salt Lake City, you would think that nobody ever went there. Unfortunately, one of my favorite places, Canyonlands National Park, close to Moab, didn't make the list, which is exactly why I like it. No crowds.
