Hypocrisy in action

An interesting story in the Salt Lake Deseret News talking about the old church-state debate. Since Utah has a large, church-going Christian population (and votes Repbulican), the ACLU of Utah is very active in the state, looking for replicas of the Ten Commandments on public property and removing freedom-stealing nativity displays from public places. In November, the state of Utah inaugurated a new guv-na who happened to be a) Republican and b) a member of the LDS (Mormon) church. In January, Salt Lake City inaugurated the re-elected mayor who happened to be a) Democrat and b) does not belong to any organized religion. Now for 10 brownie points, guess which inauguration caused complaints to the ALCU? That's right little Bobby, the inauguration of the guv-na in November. Why? Could it be because of, dare I suggest, liberal hypocrisy? Bite my tongue and put hot pokers in my eyes! If I keep thinking like that, the liberal "thought-police" Nazis will be at my doorstep to take me away for "re-education". Remember, freedom of speech for liberals means that speech that they want to hear. Hurry, here come the Republicans now! Put your fingers in your ears and repeat after me, "Na, na, na, I can't hear you!".
