The Kerry Foreign Leader Landslide Keeps Going

John Kerry has been endorsed by yet another foreign leader, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

"I think Kerry would be much more willing to listen to the voices of people and of the rest of the world," Mahathir, who retired in October after 22 years in power, told The Associated Press in an interview.

"But in the U.S., the Jewish lobby is very strong, and any American who wants to become president cannot change the policy toward Palestine radically," he said.

Why, they're practically coming out of the woodwork! Mahathir's endorsement ought to cement John Kerry's hold over the Anti-Semite vote. There’s a list of Mahathir's greatest Jewish hits here. Among them:

The Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million. But today the Jews rule this world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them.

If the Arabs who before were not terrorists are today willing to commit suicide in order to fight against the Israelis or Americans, there must be a reason for it. And the reason is that they feel that Americans and the Jews and the Europeans have been unjust to them."

We do not want to say that this is a plot by the Jews, but in reality it is a Jew who triggered the currency plunge, and coincidentally Soros is a Jew. It is also a coincidence that Malaysians are mostly Moslem. Indeed, the Jews are not happy to see Moslems progress. If it were Palestine, the Jews would rob Palestinians. Thus this is what they are doing to our country.

"the expulsion of Jews from the Holy Land 2,000 years ago and the Nazi oppression of Jews have taught them nothing. If anything at all, it has transformed the Jews into the very monsters that they condemn so roundly in their propaganda material. They have been apt pupils of the late Dr. Goebbels."

Here's a question or two for some enterprising reporter to ask Senator Kerry: "Senator Kerry, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad endorsed your candidacy today. In the past, the Prime minister has made a number of remarks characterized as Anti-Semitic by much of the world. Do you accept Mahathir's endorsement?"

Senator Kerry, do you accept Mahathir's contention that the Jewish lobby in the U.S. controls our government's Palestinian policy?"

First time visitor to House Hraka? Wondering if everything we produce could possibly be as brilliant/stupid/evil/pedantic/insipid/inspired as the post you just read? Check out the Hraka Essentials, the (mostly) reader-selected guide to Hraka's best posts, and decide for yourself.

When you consider that Kerry was misquoted by the reporter, you'd think it would be time for that famous Roseanne Rosannadanna line:

"oh. never mind."

Wow. Well, that does it. That's quite an honor roll. Throw in Aristide, Mugabe, and Howard Dean, and he'll have pretty much every wack job endorsement worth getting.

Scorpio, that myth was exploded last week.

Posted by: Jim at March 18, 2004 09:25 PM

I don't think he was misquoted. If he had been, why didn't he say so to begin with, or deny the quote entirely?

Where is the digitized copy of the tape, so that we can judge for ourselves?

I give the reporter's new story about as much credence as I give Bush when he talks about fiscal responsibilty

Posted by: Bigwig at March 18, 2004 09:28 PM

Let me just say that I am ashamed of what my erstwhile prime minister, Mahathir, said and his anti-semitism and I hope no one takes it as a generalised statement of what Malaysians think.

glovefox, ever since I noticed that the leader who apparently ordered the Bali bombing:

1. Got only a 5 year sentence for treason

2. Politicians got their smiling pictures taken with him.

3. He had his sentence reduced in half.

I assume that YES, the general population of Malaysia is as nutty as Mahathir.. Or at very least the Islamists have a lot of power.

I've also heard that the punishment for quitting Islam is a 3 year jail sentence.

I think that's longer than the well respected man who ordered the Bali bombing got.
